albuquerque, new mexico
As is now become tradition, Jeffrey and I are into taking road trips around the southwest for my birthday. This year's road trip route was albuquerque - abiquiu - santa fe - taos - roswell - marfa - white sands and back to albuquerque. It's basically a massive circle around New Mexico with a dip in Marfa. I absolutely love traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and terrains, but there's just something so special about the desert southwest that feels like my soul is home. God has made such beautiful landscapes in the southwest.
I am obsessed with the adobe style and Old Town Albuquerque is the haven for this!
One of my favorite stops was the Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Organic Farm. You drive through some of the most stunning ranches to get to it. As soon as you get to the entrance you're greeted with lavender fields and alpacas - it doesn't get much better than that. The Farm Shop on the grounds has so many sweet treats, home wares and lavender goods.
Another favorite stop was Tish's plant shop: No Longer Wander. We've been instafriends for so long! I remember the very beginnings of her wanting to open up the shop and to seeing her dream in real life was such an inspiration to me. She's created such a gorgeous haven in Albuquerque with some of the most gorgeous plant babes.
One of the raddest things about being in Albuquerque is what seems like a million outdoor adventures to take. We headed over to tent rocks and were greeted by a desert storm in the distance which was super dreamy.
This was such a good start to our road trip. We were able to eat great food, meet up with amazing friends, and get outdoors.
